The city of Lakewood is 15 minutes southwest of downtown Denver and has been awarded the National Civic League’s “All-American City” award.

A network of more than 120 creative businesses is located in Lakewood’s 40 West Arts district, which stretches along the historic West Colfax corridor, housing galleries, performance venues, public art installations, as well as bars and restaurants. Additionally, Lakewood’s West Colfax corridor is home to Casa Bonita, one of the most famous restaurants in Colorado with a 30-foot waterfall where divers perform choreographed sequences, puppet shows, and mock gunfights.
